    Legacy Co. - Lansing Beauty Academy LLC will be an upscale, full‐service beauty salon and beauty school. We will offer a wide range of services that include: Learning, Demonstration, Specialty Training, and State Board Preparation.

    Legacy Co. - Lansing Beauty Academy will offer courses of study related to beauty industry. The cosmetology curriculum entails 1500‐hour course of instruction. Graduation from the program is a prerequisite for admission to the State Cosmetology Examination. The following program requirements for licensing as instructor, Manicurist,
    Esthetics and Electrologist are as follows:
    1500 Hours of Instruction:
    Cosmetology and Barbering

    400 Hours of Instruction:
    Manicuring, Esthetics, Electrologist and Natural Hair Cultivation

    Students who graduate from a cosmetology school and successfully pass the examination may apply for a license to practice in Michigan.

    1. Vaccinations not mandatory but encouraged

    2. Stay Home if you display these symptoms
    Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.

    3. Daily health screening (Wellness Check)
    • To be completed each day upon arrival to campus.
    • Check temperature - temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit may require student to go home.
    • Wash hands upon entering the facility.
    • Sanitize your work area immediately before settling in.
    4. Masks Universally Required
    • Masks are required for all staff, students and clients.
    • Masks are to be worn properly over the nose and mouth.
    • Masks are to be worn within dress code guidelines.
    5. Staff and student sanitation practices
    • The school schedules routine facility cleaning.
    • Staff performs daily sanitation of high touch surfaces.
    • Students practice daily sanitation protocols.
    • Food and open beverages are not permitted in the work areas of the facility.
    • Bring water bottles or use concealed containers for beverages.
    6. Frequent Hand Washing
    • Staff and students are required to wash hands upon arrival to campus.
    • Hand washing is encouraged routinely throughout the day.
    • Wash hands before and after services, breaks, coughing, sneezing.
    7. Facility ventilation system
    • The school has implemented the latest code requirements for HVAC ventilation of the facility.
    • School has HVAC maintenance contract to ensure seasonal ventilation upkeep.
    8. Client role and responsibility
    • Clients are required to pass health screening for services.
    • Clients are required to wear mask in order to receive services.
    • Esthetics students adhere to COVID facial service protocol.
    • Clients are encouraged to wait in their vehicle until service is ready to be rendered.
    • Clients are informed to contact the school in the event they test positive within 5 days of service.
    9. School response to positive cases
    In the event that a staff member or student has tested positive for COVID-19 or omicron:
    • Notify school management immediately.
    • Follow the school in conjunction with the latest CDC guidelines for isolation.
    • School conducts contract tracing.
    • Staff/students exposed follow latest CDC guidelines for quarantine.
    • School will conduct a review and implement best measures to prevent spread.
    • Staff/students must test negative and/or follow the latest CDC guidelines to return.
